Daycare Providers
Lena is the owner and lead provider at Minds in Action. After nearly 8 years as a nanny, she decided to create a childcare environment of her own after the birth of her daughter—one where children are encouraged to explore, grow, and believe in themselves.
Lena is trained in First Aid and CPR and has completed a variety of childcare-related training throughout the years. Her approach focuses on helping children become confident and capable by giving them opportunities to try things independently, while always being there to support them when needed.
Genesis brings a gentle, patient, and nurturing presence to Minds in Action. She has a natural ability to connect with children and creates a calm environment where they feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow.
A talented musician, Genesis loves bringing music and creativity into the children’s day. As a mother herself, she understands the importance of allowing each child to develop at their own pace. Her warmth, patience, and genuine love for children make her a wonderful part of our MiA family.
Minds in Action incorporates Montessori-inspired principles into everyday learning, with a growing focus on independence, hands-on exploration, and allowing children to learn at their own pace.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
Learning is natural
Young children have lively minds from the start. We strive to make the most of this natural quality by enabling them to experience, investigate, care about others, interact, develop and create. We strive to deepen and strengthen children’s natural abilities by providing them with the healthiest environment possible.
OUR HOME and DAYCARE
Our home-based daycare provides children with a safe, spacious, and engaging environment where learning and play are seamlessly part of daily life. The children’s play areas are thoughtfully integrated with our living space, giving a warm, family-like atmosphere. A separate gated area allows younger children to explore and play safely, while another versatile space can be made dark for naps or quiet, focused activities. Every corner is designed to support curiosity, creativity, and joyful discovery.
- A cozy, homey environment – children feel safe and comfortable as play areas are integrated into our living space.
- Gated indoor area for littles – toddlers can explore and play freely while staying protected.
- Quiet, flexible space – can be darkened for naps or used for calm, focused activities.
- Spacious backyard for adventure – plenty of room to run, play, and connect with nature.
- Hands-on learning with nature – children can garden, care for plants, and even taste homegrown fruits and vegetables.
- Designed for curiosity and creativity – every corner encourages imagination, problem-solving, and joyful discovery.
Nutrition is key
Nutritious Meals Made with Care
At Minds in Action, we believe healthy food should be both nutritious and enjoyable for little ones. We prepare most of our meals from scratch and freeze them in advance, allowing us to provide fresh-tasting, homemade meals while making mealtimes easy and consistent.
We offer a variety of foods, flavors, fruits, vegetables, proteins, and whole grains to help children experience different tastes and develop healthy eating habits. Our meals and snacks are planned with the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) guidelines in mind.
And yes—we serve warm lunches! Our children enjoy wholesome, kid-friendly meals served warm and ready to fuel their day of learning and play.
